At Apartment 48, we believe in an organic approach to design. We take elements from the past and use them in contemporary and unexpected ways. We love making classics feel fresh. Our designs incorporate Bohemian and romantic elements with the functional and modern. We work very closely with each client to ensure a harmonious blend of our aesthetic with their desires, while maintaining a thread of consistency throughout all of our projects.
Rayman Boozer is the principal designer and creative director at Apartment 48. He is a graduate of Indiana University where he studied interior design. Upon graduating, Rayman made the move to New York, where he quickly discovered his penchant for home furnishings and visual merchandising. He opened Apartment 48 home furnishings store in 1994.
After years of success, an article in Time Out magazine dubbed Rayman the "go to" designer for color consulting - leading to more residential projects and the start of Apartment 48 Interior Design Services. Since its establishment, Apartment 48 has completed more than 50 projects ranging in scope from open concept lofts to summer homes to the AOL corporate offices. Rayman and his team like to combine vibrant colors, exotic materials, and contemporary furnishings to create rooms that look and feel easy, relaxed, and effortless.
Rayman and Apartment 48 have been featured in InStyle, Vogue, W, Domino, Essence, and Architectural Digest. In addition, his East Village apartment was featured on the cover of Elle Décor, and he’s been profiled in the New York Times, People, and New York Magazine.
